They advertise both this product and another Wii replacement power supply that is clearly marked as a 3rd party replacement (for about $3 less). In reading the reviews, I noticed that there were complaints that the 3rd party replacements did not perform as well, so I paid the extra $3 thinking I was getting a genuine Nintendo part. The box I received clearly stated "This product is not licensed, designed, sponsored, endorsed or manufactured by Nintendo." I complained to Vangoddy, and they refunded me the difference between their two products. I do not know if they shipped me the wrong product or whether the genuine Nintendo product is not really a genuine Nintendo product. So far, in two days of use, no problems. But time will tell. If you really want the genuine product replacement, you may want to check with the vendor to verify that they really are providing a Nintendo part.
